Charlie
Harris' Tywardreath Butchers might be tiny, you could be forgiven
for missing their small shop in Tywardreath, but they are seriously
big on flavour and local produce. Charlie rears his own free
range pigs and excellent sausages they make too.
They
pride themselves on only having Cornish meat in their shop
and for a butchers, we're amazed to find that they also make
a mean vegetarian sausage and burger too. In 1993 they were
bemused to find themselves thrown in to the limelight when
their pork and garlic sausage won a national award organised
by the Food and Drink programme in conjunction with the Guardian
newspaper.
Since
then they have won several other awards for their sausages.
Seriously Good mainly stocks from the producers direct but
we are pleased to make a selection available from one of Cornwall's
best butchers.
